Data-driven insights with Predictive Maintenance

The global IIoT market is expected to reach USD 1,693.30 billion in 2023, with adoption increasing every year. Predictive maintenance is a proactive maintenance strategy that uses real-time data and analytics tools to predict equipment failures before they occur. Agidens is exploring the possibilities of predictive maintenance and other data analytics solutions to help businesses optimize their operations and achieve better outcomes.

Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) is no stranger in the industrial automation industry. The global IIoT market size is expected to reach USD 1,693.30 billion in 2023 and is expected to grow by an estimated 25% in the next 5 years. With adoption and popularity increasing every year, companies seek to optimize their operations and gain a competitive edge.

DATA ABUNDANCE IN THE AUTOMATION INDUSTRY

Thanks to IIoT there is a lot of data available in the automation industry. IIoT refers to the network of internet-connected devices, sensors, and machines used in industrial settings like manufacturing facilities or warehouses. These devices generate large amounts of data and information on equipment performance, production metrics, energy consumption and much more.

However, much of this data goes unused or is not leveraged to its full potential. This is where predictive maintenance and other data analytics solutions come in, helping businesses make sense of the data and use it to drive better outcomes.

Unlocking the Potential of
IIoT Data

As Agidens, we often receive questions from customers looking to improve their data analytics strategy so they can unlock the full potential of their IIoT data. With years of experience in maintenance and reliability services, we have developed a deep understanding of the challenges business face in maintaining and optimizing their operations. By combining this expertise with advanced analytics tools and IIoT data from customers we’re exploring the possibilities of predictive maintenance and jumping on the Industry 5.0 train to create human-centric solutions that boost workplace processes.

Predictive Maintenance:
More Than Just Numbers

Predictive maintenance is a proactive maintenance strategy that uses real-time data and analytics tools to predict equipment failures before they occur. In the automation industry, predictive maintenance is particularly important because of the critical role that equipment and machinery play in the manufacturing process. By finding early warning signs of equipment problems, businesses can take corrective action before a failure occurs, reducing downtime and minimizing the impact on operations.

While advanced statistics and analytics play a crucial role in predictive maintenance, it’s important to realize it’s about much more than just crunching numbers. Equipment condition, maintenance history, production schedules and resource availability all have to be considered in real-time for a correct analysis and prediction.

Holistic Approach to Predictive Maintenance Innovation

Agidens is taking a holistic approach for this innovation project, focused on predictive maintenance. To achieve this, we are currently exploring innovative technologies and tools, such as industrial IoT sensors and predictive maintenance software, to collect and analyze data in real-time. Leveraging our expertise, we aim to effectively extract data from equipment and integrate it with other systems, facilitating accurate analysis.

More importantly, we’re investigating the current state of maintenance strategies and data availability with our customers. This will allow us to identify the specific needs of our customers, conduct a comprehensive analysis of the available data and uncover which data is missing and why. We are confident that our value-add in this process is most clear in the following four aspects:

In conclusion, the goal is to identify patterns and anomalies in IIoT data that could potentially indicate equipment failures, allowing maintenance teams to take corrective action proactively and avoid significant issues.

Agidens envisions reduced downtime and repairs, optimized maintenance schedules and increased productivity and profitability as the ideal outcome for our customers.
